Social Media Internship Opportunity: McDonald’s Texas Invitational Basketball Tournament 

About the Tournament

The McDonald’s Texas Invitational Basketball Tournament is one of the largest and most prestigious high school basketball tournaments in the nation. Hosted by the MTI Committee in collaboration with Pasadena ISD Education Foundation, the event brings together top high school teams from across Texas, attracting thousands of athletes, coaches, fans, and media. All proceeds from the tournament go directly towards Mini-Grants that benefit the teachers and students of Pasadena and Deer Park ISD.

Internship Details

Note: This is an unpaid internship 

Interns will focus on:

• Capturing game highlights for social media
• Filming and editing reels
• Conducting short interviews with players, coaches, and fans
• Creating behind-the-scenes content to showcase the excitement of the tournament
• Supporting the Communications team with live updates and coverage

Important Dates

• Training Sessions (Mandatory):
  • Tuesday, November 11 (Online 1 hr)
  • Tuesday, November 18 (In person 1.5 hrs)
• Tournament Dates: November 20–22, 2025 (Approx. 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM)
