The Pasadena school district opened its second high school campus to accommodate the growth experience in the boom years following World War II. Opened in 1958, South Houston High School built upon the success of its sister school to create a new school culture serving the growing South Houston community. Additional classroom wings have been added over the years, including a $20 million renovation completed in 2003.
