The new Dobie High School was completed in 2003. It is located on a 77 acre site behind Moore Elementary and can house an estimated 3,000 students in a 490,000 square foot building. The building contains approximately 120 regular classrooms. Some other facilities in the school are three Gyms, a Band Hall, a Choir Room, an Orchestra Room, an Ag. Room, a Cosmetology Room, CAD, a Health Occupations Room, an Auto Tech Facility, a Dance and Drill Room, a Library, a Cafeteria and an Auditorium. There is also a large green house. The estimated cost of the new school was $57 million dollars.
